Fellowship
I just arrived home from the doctor’s office for my follow-up visit after surgery.
The decision of a lumpectomy or a mastectomy was an easy one to make.
The cancerous tumor had already grown from a stage 1 cancer to a stage 2 cancer in the 2 weeks that we have done all the testing on it.
So, I had a mastectomy last Friday.
The outpouring of love and support has been so overwhelming.
My post office friends, where I work, sent this awesome lantern with the Angel of Light in it.
I love it!!!!!
I am so very blessed to have so many friends and family to lean on.
The doctor gave me the best news possible today!
He said that the nodes that they removed during surgery were cancer free!!!!!!
That means that the cancer did not spread to any other place in my body!
Thank the Lord!!
Now I have to heal up, then chemotherapy.
I will keep you updated.

I Am Blessed
The knee surgery went very well, thank God.
I go back to the doctor in 2 weeks.
My sweet husband and devoted mom were there with me.
I also received
lots of well wishes from friends and family via texts, phone calls, and Facebook messages, which I greatly appreciate.
When we got home my besties, Connie, Marilyn, and Lora, came over and brought a whole meal for my family.
It was fabulous.
Here’s a picture of our last adventure together.
There are tall ships, there are small ships, there are pretty ships, and there are ugly ships, but the best ship of all is FRIENDSHIP!

Knee Surgery Again!!!
If you have followed my blog very long you might remember that in January 2012 I had my knee scoped, because I had a cyst bothering it.
Here is a picture of what it looked like after surgery.
Soooooooooooooooooo looking forward to doing this again!!!
On April 24th, this Wednesday, the doctor is going back in the same knee to scope it again, then he is going to cut open the outside of my knee to get rid of the cyst and see how it is attached to the meniscus.
So hopefully it won’t grow back.
I would love to know that you all are praying for my speedy recovery.

Knee Surgery
Well, I went to doctor on Wednesday for a 2 week check up on my knee.
He looked at it and assumed that the tumor had grown back, so he scheduled me for surgery on Friday (yesterday).
After he got in my knee and looked around he couldn’t find a tumor, so the popping worked. Then he found a burr, got rid of it and cut off some cartilage that was torn on my meniscus.
Here is what it looks like now.
It was numb until about 2 hours ago.
Now it hurts, I thought I had better get this post done before the pain killers kick in because they knock me out.
Big Ran and Shafer are taking good care of me.
On the brighter side, I am not going back to work until the 27th! YAY!!
Not that it is going to take me that long to heal, we are headed out on a cruise on the 16th.
I have been doing some online shopping for the cruise, since I won’t be getting around much until the cruise.
Here are a few things that I have ordered from Kohl’s.
Suite 7 Floral Halter Shift Dress
ELLE™ Tiered Georgette Skirt
ELLE™ Cuffed Jacquard Shorts
Apt. 9® Pleated Chiffon Tank
Now I just have to hope and pray that this stuff fits and gets here in time!!!
More on that later.
Getting drowsy, so I had better go.
