Merry Christmas 2012

This year I decorated a small, skinny, artificial tree with small red lights, large candle bulbs, a red berry vine, and deer antlers.

Here are a couple of pictures of the tree.

It turned out pretty cool.

At “Caldwell Christmas” we had a great time.

We sign in every year to take a count and I signed in at 115.

I’m sure there were more show up after I did, there was at least 150 family members there.

The entertainment this year was a game of Family Feud.

And of course, Santa Claus shows up every year!

Easter Bunny Cake

Here it is!

I made mine white, because I am pretty sure the real Easter bunny is white.

He didn’t turn out too bad, if I do say so myself!

Thanks Megan for taking the picture.

You never know what you can do unless you try.

My motto is,  “If I can do it, anybody can!”

Our Front Door – March – April

I usually have this cross hanger on my door every month, but this month it is especially right.

My little yellow-flowered wreath looks like it was meant to be hanging with it.

My granddaughter, Kennedy’s eyes lit up when see saw these eggs in  the basket.

As you can see,  two of my helpers, my grandson, Michael and Shafer, can hardly wait to get outside.  They are pretty much right by my side at all times.

Everyone’s welcome!

Come on over!!

Forcing Branches

When the twins and I went shopping a couple of weeks ago, I bought these forsythia branches at Trader Joe’s.

I have never tried this before, so we’ll see how it turns out.

They bloomed!!

It took them about a week and a half to put a smile on my face.

I think they are beautiful.

Behind the branches is my pot of chives.  I have already used these twice this year!

This picture is of the branches sitting on the island in my kitchen with the morning sun shining on them.

I am definitely going to do this again, it turned out great!!

Decorating For Valentine’s Day

Kennedy, Michael, Hudson, Shafer, and I are decorating for Valentine’s Day.

Well, we have the box of Valentine’s stuff out to decorate with.

Does that count?

Here is a picture of a bit of our decorating.

The message hearts are a must have.

I just to had to have some fresh tulips.

I got them at Wal-Mart 7 days ago and they still look great.

I love this vase.  It was my grandmas.  And the best part is, there are 2 of them!!

Happy Valentine’s Day!
