We Have a Cheerleader on Our Hands

Every year the football cheerleaders have a mini cheer camp at school for all the elementary students.

This year my granddaughter, Kennedy is in kindergarten.

She got to be a mini cheerleader for the half- time performance.

Here she is getting ready and getting all lined up to take the field.

They all did a great job.

The future cheerleading squad of Gallatin High is looking good.

Nic’s Graduation

We have had another graduation in our family.

My son, Nic has graduated college!

Three down and one to go.

Here he is with his buddy , Colt.

I made him a pretty impressive present.

It is a lei made of $$$$$!!!

It was very simple to make.

You just take some thin ribbon, make a circle out of it like a necklace, then tie 3 or 4 dollar bills together in little bundles with more ribbon.  All you do next is attach the dollar bundles to the ribbon necklace and fluff them up.  You can use any amount of $ that you want.

I used ones!!!!

I am very proud of my baby.

He will be coaching football at the college that he just graduated from……………

and selling insurance door to door.

Be ready for the knock!

Nic’s Football Banquet

So sorry I haven’t been posting a lot lately.

I have been very, very busy.

I will be posting  as much as possible in the next few days to try to catch up.

Big Ran solved my camera to the computer problem that I had, so pictures of the cruise are coming!

Sunday after we got back home from the cruise Nic had his football banquet.

Mom and I went to it.

We had an Italian buffet and strawberry shortcake.  It was good.

Here is a far away picture of Coach Partridge giving out some awards.

Nic picked out our table to sit at and he decided to sit close to the food and not so close to the award stage.

That is Nic standing up front after he received his award.

Nic and his girlfriend Meagan.

Nic was very happy to receive his jersey.

Here he is with his MVP award.

Yes!

  That’s right!!

He got the Defense MVP award for the first game of the year when they played the National Champions Pittsburg State University!!!

He makes a Momma proud!!

Nic’s Last Football Game

Nic Burrell in MWSC vs. NWMSU

Northwest Missouri State spotted Missouri Western a 16-0 lead but battled back to win Saturday’s NCAA Division II playoff tilt in St. Joseph. The Bearcats outscored the Griffons, 27-7, in the second half to advance to the region semifinals against #2 Midwestern State, out of the Lone Star Conference.

Gallatin grad Nic Burrell played every snap on defense for the Griffons and registered eight tackles, including one for loss. The MWSU senior linebacker also spent a busy afternoon dropping into pass coverage against the Bearcats’ best receiver, #4 Tyler Shaw.

For every tackle #36 had this year you could hear some where in the audience, “YEAH NIC!!!”,  from his very proud momma.

We were blessed this year to get to go to every game, away and home.

Here are a few pictures of some of his fans.

His girlfriend, Megan.

His sister, Kayli.  That’s Big Ran in the back ground.

His nephew, Hudson.

His Grandma and Grandpa Burrell

His sister, Kamille and Megan

The Griffon and his sister, Madison

His sign holding niece, Kennedy

There were many other fans there, too.  Tom, Alan, Brice, Bill, Steve, Bobby, Bob, Jimmy, Mitch, Bradley, Stephanie, Aaron, Justin, Gracyn, Dianna, Mike, Kelly, Michael, Tony, Nana, Bailey, Marty, and Marcus just to name a few.

I’m pretty sure Coach Partridge is telling Nic what a great job he just did!!!

It was a great ride!!
