More of Christmas

At Mom’s Christmas we drew names and had to make the gifts again this year.

This is what my son, Nic, made for me.

Pretty clever!

I’m thinking that maybe his girlfriend, Megan, helped him out a bit.

DSC_0045I had Nic’s name and made him this duck tape billfold.

He loved it.

Mom gave us something for the new house.

Tears.

Merry Christmas 2012

This year I decorated a small, skinny, artificial tree with small red lights, large candle bulbs, a red berry vine, and deer antlers.

Here are a couple of pictures of the tree.

It turned out pretty cool.

At “Caldwell Christmas” we had a great time.

We sign in every year to take a count and I signed in at 115.

I’m sure there were more show up after I did, there was at least 150 family members there.

The entertainment this year was a game of Family Feud.

And of course, Santa Claus shows up every year!

John Travolta and Olivia Newton John

Grease is my all time favorite movie.

I know all the words to the songs and on occasion I have been known to do some of the dance moves also.

John Travolta and Olivia Newton John have just released a new Christmas album and a video.

I can’t get enough.

Here is the video.

I hope you like it!

Just click on the link below.

Any video with the troops coming home holds a special place in my heart.

If you want to do some more clicking around the internet, I put a post on my other blog,

about sheet rock going up in the master bedroom a couple of days ago.

Night Golf With Christmas Lights

Have you ever played night golf?

My friend, Connie had a night golf outing for her husband, Mark’s 50 birthday.

Let me tell you something, it’s dark out there when the moon is covered by clouds.

Here is a picture of my partner, Mike’s cart after I got it decorated.

I had a string of regular Christmas lights.

I put them around the windshield of the cart and Mike plugged them into a little battery that he had.

It was great!

This is a picture of our golf balls.

They have a hollow strip in the middle of them for a small glow stick to fit in and light it up.

Pretty cool!

If you can’t have fun in the dark, then when can you have fun???

If you have never played night golf, I highly recommend that you try it.

Christmas at Moms

Mom had her table set in blue.

It was really pretty.

This is what everyone sat down to.

After dinner she got out the carom board.  Have you ever played carom?  It’s kind of like pool except your fingers are the pool cues.

Mom made lasagna!!!  Her lasagna is the best I have ever had.  Everyone else agrees with me.

Gracy getting ready to dig in.

This year we drew names out of a hat for the gifts givers and receivers.

Then we decided that all the gifts had to be homemade.

Kamille and Justin drew out Mom’s and Megan’s names.  They made candles in wine bottles that they cut off themselves.  Pretty impressive.

Nic had Kamille’s name, he made reindeer out of a six-pack of beer and some coasters for her beverages.

Bill had Big Ran’s name.  Trust me, he really did like his Osborn green and orange Christmas bulbs.  What a hilarious picture!!!

Megan had Kayli’s name and made her a cool teacher crayon wreath and some zebra coasters.

Mom had Madison’s name.  She made her a picture frame with pictures of Madison and Dad, and other pictures of Mom and Dad in their younger days.

  It is awesome!

Here is a picture of the super heroes and their capes.  Bill, Nic, and Justin, I’m sure they are probably wearing these capes now!!

We had our celebration on the 23rd of December, so we also had a little rum cake for the twins birthday.

Yes, that’s right, Mom went all out!  It was a great time!!

Oh yeah, Kayli, I am still waiting on my homemade gift!!!!!
