Since we have a new addition to our family….

I needed another stocking before Christmas eve.

I took this old stocking that I had.

I made a pattern out of a brown paper bag.

I had a sweater that I used to love, until I shrank it.
I found a bunch of scrap fleece material.

And I made a stocking out of it.
Now I get to fill all of them!!
Tis the season!

Morning Shake

Every morning for the past week I have been making a  smoothie for breakfast.
I don’t like breakfast food anyway.
This is really good and good for you.
Here is the recipe
2 c fresh spinach
1 scoup vanilla protein powder
1 c frozen strawberries
1 c orange juice
2-4 T fat free half and half
Blend together in the blender until it is all liquid.
Now you can change this recipe to suit your own taste.
The last couple of days I have been adding a banana to my smoothie.
My husband wants me to try pineapple in his next time.
Go crazy!!

This is what it looks like after you get it in the blender.

Now it is all liquidfied.

Try some!

Homemade Ornaments

Tonight Kennedy, Madison and I made homemade Salt Dough Ornaments.
They are quite easy too….my kind of crafting!

The recipe is very simple:

2 cups flour
1 cup salt
1 cup water

1. Mix salt and flour
2. Add in half the water, then gradually add the rest
3. Knead until the dough is smooth
4. Roll out the dough on baking paper or flour countertop
5. Cut out shapes with cookie cutters or design your own

Bake at 250 for 1 hr to 1 1/2 hrs.
Make sure you don’t burn them.
Let cool completely and paint.
We used glitter too.
Spray with sealer.

It was quite an operation.

Kennedy just loves to have a paintbrush in her hand.

How fun are these?? We have Christmas trees, Wreaths, (which Kennedy calls Reefs) Ball ornaments, Stars, Hearts, and Bells.

Just a close up of the artwork!

I made the snowman all by myself.

I am so proud.

It was a fun time for everyone.

Now we just have to string them up and get them on the tree.

I would love to hear from you.

To become a follow and make comments just hit the follow button and follow the directions.

 It’s pretty simple.

Santa Claus

Santa Claus

I made a trip to see Santa on Saturday with two of my three grandchildren.

This picture cracks me up!

  How hillarious!

Kennedy has a hard time taking a picture without making a funny face.

And it looks like Baby Michael might have the same problem!!

Another funny face!!

Now, that’s more like it.

 He is so fun!

I don’t have any idea!

Ho Ho Ho

More adventures to come…………Sally
